What we do

Welcome to The House Geelong!

The House Geelong is a member-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering connections through creativity and shared passions. Established in 2022, we are an independent space located in the Centrepoint Arcade in Geelong CBD. Our community is self-funded and operated democratically by our members.

We run weekly events open to the public and our members. These events are designed to create social connections, a safe space to freely create, participate in discussions about contemporary issues or dive deep into interests such as art, gaming, films, sustainability and culture.

You do not need to be ridiculously good at art! This space is judgement free! We supply basic art materials and you are most welcome to bring along a creative project from home to work on during our weekly events.

Our values and aims for the House Geelong include:

Create a friendly and supportive space for our local community. Our space is open to all who have a passion for creativity and art, no matter your skill level!

Being inclusive and diverse, we aim for our members to feel valued and supported.

Provide opportunities for our local artists to exhibit their work, develop workshops or programs that engage with the public and the Geelong arts scene.

Encourage collaboration with our members and organisations, we are open to new ideas and approaches for our community space.

To act with honesty and fairness with all dealings and directions for our community.

Fostering connection with members of the community by running programs, workshops and exhibitions.

These events relating to our shared interests such as art, crafts, games, music, sustainability and culture.

Ensuring that our space is safe and inclusive. We don’t tolerate disrespectful behaviour.

The House Geelong offers a range of memberships which support our community space.
